Crescendo-The Making Part I

This might be just another year for Crescendo to again witness the adrenalin rush and the excitement in the country’s youth. But for us, the organizers, it is a lifetime experience. Let’s be realistic. We do NOT claim that Crescendo is Asia’s (or even DU’s) biggest and the most lavish fest. But, this time, CBS has witnessed something that the upcoming batches are gonna remember and talk about, even long after we have left. Heart won hands down over mind, this time. The “not-so-proficient” got a chance to make every CBSite and the rest believe that it’s not always the trusted and the sure-shots who walk away with the cake. It is the people who are open to take risks and try new and inexperienced (read ‘not-so-experienced’) crop to carry the legacy of organizing the biggest and the most awaited event on the CBS calendar, CRESCENDO.

So, here I am. Even before I formally start, I would like to present a disclaimer that through this blog, all we are trying to do is bring out the knick-knacks and the OMGs and the time when we guys smiled and laughed, and the time when everything was not-so-hunky-dory. Every effort will be made not to defame anyone or present a person/group of persons in bad light. However, any unintentional mistake is regretted in advance…
Ok. After the rounds of formalities…..lemme start.
Today, we are this close (showing with the fingers the amount of sugar that u add to make a cup of tea) to living our dream. The scene of almost a couple of dozen of us, stuffed into the pitiful ICICI room. Well, that’s where every meeting has to be held. Koi na. As long as we DO have a specified space, we don’t mind. So now, the time to make plans is almost over. What's about to come is the implementation phase. And meanwhile, the lil arguments, ‘roothna-manaana’, is gonna be perennial…..

But, all is well… we have a dream to live, a promise to fulfill, an opportunity to relish….
The time that we are gonna spend with each other in the coming fortnight, that time is going to be, lets say, a bookmark, to the webpage of our college days….

We promise to make the best of this…..
