Nasya --+ A Miracle Of God..


The word “Nasya” originates from the Hebrew language, and means “The Miracle of God”- and in this band’s story, it is indeed a miracle that five talented and skilled individuals from extremely diverse backgrounds came together, and in a very short while, realized their dream to create and play rousing music – transcending boundaries of influences, genres, and stereotypes. The result of this convergence was a sound amalgamating stimulating rock music and thoughtful Sufi lyrics which compel the listeners to think beyond personal feelings and everyday worries. The band believes that music has the capability to not entertain only, but also to inspire as well; not to only transcend physical barriers, but the mental ones as well.



As stated earlier, the members of Nasya hail from very different backgrounds. KUNAL, the vocalist, has studied the great arts of Hindustani Classical Music and Sufiana Music with enormous passion and devotion. Moreover, his soul-stirring and thoughtful lyrics add life to the band. His natural talent, polished by the skills acquired from his learned teachers, is now ready to mesmerize the audience.

ABHINAV, the guitarist of the band, is well trained and a professional musician, and has devoted a great amount of time in perfecting and innovating a unique style of guitar playing, and is well versed with stage performances and loves to amaze the audiences with his music.

The bassist of the band - KIRAN,understands well the subtle role which the bass plays in the structure of any song. she uses her weapon of choice to support the sound and make it more comprehensive and melodic.

It is generally believed that the percussionist forms the backbone of any band – and Nasya has AKASH as its keystone – binding the sound of the band into one cohesive and tight knit package to deliver to the audiences for a hair–raising experience. His drumming gives the music its complete structure and is capable of taking any song for a rollercoaster ride. The band owes him for maintaining rhythm while breaking the monotony.

Moreover, the band is well – received in the youth, while also being amply appreciated by the older crowd for its meaningful lyrics and messages..
